Day 73
What a glorious promise and prediction Christ makes here! He has previously stated that the kingdom will withstand every attack against it... even those of Hadean principles and activists. The Living Word will continue to be alive and active. The Message, through the Holy Spirit, will continue to convict men of their sin... the consequences of sin... and the only acceptable remedy for sin. This message will be communicated to the whole of mankind, not just a chosen few. Upon hearing this message, man must make the all-important decision concerning their response. Elsewhere in this booklet, you will read of numerous other specific aspects of God’s communication. God’s plan is perpetual. God’s plan is purposeful. God’s plan is powerful. To reject it... distort it... or to postpone it is to risk eternal condemnation.
What about our command to be actively involved in the process of “preaching the Word”? By the time Paul wrote the Letter to the Colossians, he states that the gospel “has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven” (Col. 1:23). He previously stated in verse 6 that “all over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing”.
Have the “creatures” overtaken the “preachers”? Could it be said that our commitment to spreading the gospel has resulted in reaching every creature in our modern world? Even with all the modern conveniences and technologies... are we lagging behind in our efforts to sow the “Good Seed”? If the harvest is lacking, perhaps it is due to the fact that our planting, watering, cultivating, feeding and nurturing are lacking. God provides the seed and ultimately provides the harvest. It is up to faithful workers to carry out the other important efforts as a part of God’s divine plan. Let me know what you think.
