Day 62

Beautiful Feet

Read Isaiah 52:7

The body as designed by God is a masterpiece of creative engineering. We are indeed “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14). He has intricately made each part to work in tandem with each other in order to allow us to live and excel in life. However, you seldom hear the feet mentioned in anything other than a utilitarian context. They are just there to give us balance and to move us from place to place. How could they ever be termed as “beautiful”? Yet that is exactly what the prophet Isaiah says...(Isa 52:7) How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Paul later quotes that verse in Romans...(Rom 10:14-15) How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? {15} And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”

Those passages are meant to be complimentary and encouraging of all who would share the precious message of heaven. The feet are merely used to denote the activity of carrying the message. Have your feet been used lately in the area of evangelism? If not, isn’t it time that you had beautiful feet?
