Do you like promises? I don’t like to make promises because things can change to make me have to break that promise. I remember before my wife and I were married that when I would leave her house from a date, I would say I’ll see you tomorrow. She would say, do you promise? I would sometimes say no, because I couldn’t say for sure I would see her tomorrow. Something could happen to change that from happening.

When God gives us a promise, we know it will happen. Jesus tells the disciples that they will be clothed with power on high. As we read in the beginning of Acts, we see first hand the power of Gods promises as the apostles speak in many languages.

You and I may not always keep our promises, but God is a God that keeps His. We don’t have to ask.
