Jesus says “I am the Light of the World.” He also says, “He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” Jesus says, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth will shall make you free.”

We as Christians have all these things Jesus is talking about in this chapter. Christians believe in Jesus, and His word and know that if we follow Him we will have an eternal home some day.

The sad part about it is most people in the world do not know or do not believe in these promises Jesus made. They go through life on this earth thinking this is all there is and it’s a struggle to them. When a situation comes in their life they cannot handle it is because they have no hope. Satan wants to keep them in darkness and out of the light. Christians know the truth and it does make us free. Free from all struggles this life on earth can throw at us. We are better equipped to handle situations because of Jesus Christ our Lord and the truth He has given us.

Christians abide in Jesus and obey His word and He will help you through this life and onto your next life eternal.
